As we continue to expand our pediatric team, Child’s Play Plus is looking for Certified Speech Language Pathologists with experience working in center based pediatric settings. Typical caseload of 8-10 patients a day, with opportunities monthly for provider team meetings. Ideal candidates will maintain a team-based approach with our clinical staff to ensure quality application and generalization of skills across provider disciplines.

The SLP’s core responsibilities are to conduct evaluations and provide interventions for patients who have functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments. Therapist should be knowledgeable in the evaluation and treatment of receptive/expressive language, language processing, phonology, feeding disorders and augmentative communication technology. The SLP will develop therapy goals and administer appropriate speech therapy programs and interventions. Documentation of evaluation, daily treatments, re- assessments and discharges as well as family programming. Provides patient, parent/caregiver training designed to enhance speech/eating performance and improve functional outcomes. Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of patients. Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of patients. Works in collaboration with all of Child’s Play Plus service providers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate and utilize appropriate standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of speech and eating disorders
• Establish treatment goals and implement plans of care
• Support our Grand Rounds team by assisting providers in determining appropriate interventions to aid patients in reaching their treatment goals
• Perform daily documentation, update treatment plans, and produce regular progress reports
• Update patient progress to relevant parties
• Research related pediatric Speech Therapy problems
• Ability to build rapport with patients, their families, and other caregivers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
1. Must be a CCC-SLP or CCC-A
2. Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
3. Must hold current license in the state(s) of practice as a Speech Language Pathologist or Audiologist.
4. Must be certified through the National Board of Certification in Speech Language Pathology (ASHA).
5. Preference to individuals with experience in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
