Success Stories

  • Working with kids has always been where my heart is. I started a college degree in Special Education/Elementary Education but didn’t end up finishing because I started a family. Working as an RBT at CP+ feels like I am back on the path I started 40 years ago!

I have had a lot of jobs in my adult life, and I have never worked at a place that is so supportive and encouraging. Child’s Play Plus sets you up for success. They want you to be the best RBT you can be and there is constant encouragement and helpful training. I feel supported, valued, and appreciated, not only as an employee but as a person and that feels great!

If someone is looking for a rewarding, yet challenging and fun career where they can make a difference in the life of a child, I would absolutely encourage them to learn more about Child’s Play Plus. This is the best, most rewarding job I have ever had! I could go on and on. I truly do feel this is the best job I have ever had, and I feel like I am home!”

    -Maggie Lambert, RBT
  • Play. Learn. Grow. is much more than a slogan to me; it is a way of life. I just live it. During the initial training week, I get to help set the tone for our new staff by modeling how much fun this job can be, and that carries over to the interactions we have with the patients. The learning and growth from the new staff fosters a fun environment for the kids, who in turn are more likely to respond positively to the life-changing therapy we provide.

-Matt Swick, RBT | Team Development Leader
  • When I first started, I felt pretty nervous and definitely out of my comfort zone; I had not worked with kids much but I was excited to start a job I felt passionate about.

I feel extremely thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in my patients’ lives as they’ve made a difference in mine! I feel like they have taught me so much since I’ve been at CP+. I’ve learned how to be more gracious, patient, understanding and how to have more fun! This job is so rewarding and I love getting to grow alongside these kiddos.

What I love about working at Child’s Play Plus is how much fun we have every day. We strive to make learning fun for the patients, and I think that makes a huge difference in how they grow! The staff have so much fun with each other too! It feels like a great big family. I love the continued training we receive and how managers take the time to check in and make sure we feel comfortable in our roles.”

    -Lydia Mack, RBT
  • I started at Child’s Play in 2016, fresh out of college. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology, but no psychological field.

From my first day, I immediately felt like a part of a family. Everyone was so welcoming and willing to help me learn. I can confidently say each day is filled with something new. I have never worked the same day twice, which I love. Working as an RBT is genuinely a fun job.

At Child’s Play Plus, the staff’s support is something I had never experienced before. They always encourage me to trust myself and my abilities. Because of their encouragement and my love for the job, I chose to go back to school for my Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. I am so grateful for the opportunities that have come my way working at CP+ and being a part of this growing company.”

-Ashley Truitt, RBT | Junior Apprentice
  • When I first started at Child’s Play Plus four years ago, I felt immediately rewarded. I had come from marketing for a retail company, a completely different world, that left me unsatisfied and seeking something different. I took to social media to find a new job. Within minutes I got three different people suggesting I get into the world of ABA. I took it as a sign and applied to Child’s Play Plus. After two days I felt more rewarded in what I was learning than in the two years at my previous job.

As an RBT I feel completely supported, both in a professional and friendly way. The training and continued support allow me to overcome, excel and grow!
